Hi, I'm Jerry Mathurin. With over 15 years in the UX field, I blend empathy, design, and strategy to craft digital experiences that resonate deeply with users and drive business success. My journey from sketching action figures to leading UX innovation has taught me the power of understanding and creativity in transforming user interfaces into user experiences.
My Story
Growing up, I always had a talent for math and drawing. I wanted to pick a career that would merge both skills and be successful. I eventually fell in love with technology and majored in computer science, focusing on web design. Even as a computer programmer, I knew the importance of interface design and designed my first website in AutoCAD before tools like InVision or Sketch existed. Eventually, the industry caught up, and now I do what I love... building beautiful experiences for the world.
My Philosophy
Empathy in design is not just about seeing the world through the users' eyes but walking in their shoes. It's about crafting experiences that feel personally tailored and universally accessible. My design philosophy revolves around creating simplicity out of complexity, ensuring every interaction feels effortless and every solution meets a need.

Jerry is a wonderful UX designer committed to learning and improving. During my time working with him at NextEra, he picked up new processes and tools quickly. He was always willing to ask questions and seek the expertise of others, making him a true team player.
